The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual four-day event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are across the continent. Anyone can participate, from beginning bird watchers to experts. It takes as little as 15 minutes on one day, or you can count for as long as you like each day of the event. It's free, fun, and easy-and it helps the birds."

Data Entry Closed for GBBC

Data entry through the Great Backyard Bird Count website has closed. The GBBC is a four-day event and will take place again February 14-17, 2014. Thank you for your participation!

If you have bird checklists you created during the four days of the 2013 count, you can still enter them via eBird.

And if you enjoyed participating in the GBBC, we hope you'll continue to use your username and password in eBird to report your bird observations all through the year.

eBird data entry is exactly the same as it is for the GBBC. If you found the GBBC data entry pages easy to use, then you already know how to submit to eBird.
