Seems the siskins got on fertility pills this past spring. I never had close to this amount. Tried to count them but cant get them to stay still long enough. At least 200
Birds at my feeder, 2009
Just wanted to mention that this winter season I seem to have more Mourning Doves then ever before. I am not sure what that means or if the word is just getting out, but have been in the home with the feeders for over 7 years so it is surprising.
The other surprising note was coming home today and finding a Northern Harrier casually sitting within 2 feet of the feeder; and even the closing of my car door did not scare him, he just hopped to the ground and walked around some. Sorry I did not have my camera and didn't dare to move because I did not want to scare him. He appeared again a short time later and I was able to get a good look through the binoculars at him. Very impressive.
