Pine Siskin
While Common Redpolls irrupt generally every two years, Pine Siskins are
much less predictable over time and space. The
irregularity of siskin irruptions is evident in the animated map below.
Notice the lack of synchronization between East and West, and also note the
difference in magnitude.
